At Claire Clifford Training and Education Services, our courses are offered full time, part time, face-to-face and via distance education mode. Each learner can select the delivery mode which best suits them and their current lifestyle. Learners have the option of selecting a blended mode of delivery which consists of both face-to-face and distance learning.

All of the learning resources and assessment requirements are provided on this Online Learner Portal and can be accessed by the learner at any time. Each learner will have access to a personal mentor who will be their main educator and support person whilst completing this qualification.

    Available courses

    This Statement of Attainment reflects the skill requirements for individuals who respond to the immediate needs of people in crisis or intervention.

    There are four (4) Units of Competency (Modules) that need to be successfully completed for the issuance of a Certificate:

    CHCMHS001 Work with people with mental health issues

    CHCCCS003 Increase the safety of individuals at risk of suicide

    CHCYTH001 Engage respectfully with young people

    CHCCSL001 Establish and confirm the counselling relationship



    This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work in the sport and recreation industry in an administrative or organisational capacity. These individuals are able to plan, conduct and evaluate activities of others, deal with unpredictable and non-routine situations and provide leadership and guidance to staff.

    The qualification provides a pathway to work in a diversity of sport and recreation locations such as fitness centres, sporting grounds or complexes, leisure and aquatic centres and community recreation centres or sporting organisations and associations.

    This qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities.

    At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management. Workers are usually providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals. Workers may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers and/or case management; program coordination or the development of new business opportunities.

    Note that the Statutory & forensic child, youth & family welfare specialisationmust be achieved in orderto meet the minimum education requirements for child protection and youth justice practice in Victoria. In addition, to meet the minimum education requirements for entry into child protection practice in Victoria, diploma qualifications must be approved by the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA)

    To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 100 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
